DAMARIN writes stories. Even when it’s an instrumental track, it’s a story. It can be whatever story your heart desires - art is interpretation. He is inspired by films, soundtracks and books. All art reflects all other forms of art - thus his musical practice is always informed by literature, poetry, graphic art and motion pictures. He can write for a brief and remain within walls that you provide him - or that he provides himself - but his favourite approach is stopping all the voices in his head and just making whatever pops up from the depths. This is how his last album was written - first takes, lyrics written on the spot, no thinking.
